A total of 16 interpretive signs can be found along the walking trail, which also leads to the preserved Treadwell Mine Office Building. The current trail does not necessarily follow or represent the boardwalks or pathways existing when the mines were operating. The Juneau Douglas High School track program added to and improved the current walking trails, and they still utilize them for high school track practice and meets.
