The 60 ft. by 150 ft. parade ground or Plaza was located in front of the Superintendent’s Residence where a huge American flag and the Treadwell company flag flew over the only level spot in town. The Plaza was the site for the annual Fourth of July festivities and during the winter, the area was flooded for ice skating and sledding.
