A two-story and a single-story concrete vault were located in the company store next to the “New” Office Building. The upstairs safe stored detailed mining and engineering maps. The company’s book accounts and records were stored in the downstairs vault. The single-story vault housed the gold bricks until they were shipped to the San Francisco Mint. The vaults are visible today next to the office building. The vault doors are stored across Gastineau Channel awaiting restoration and an eventual return to Treadwell.
